Press Release: SOtM Proudly Presents the sCLK-OCX10 Master Clock Generator

The sCLK-OCX10 is a master clock generator that produces a high purity 10 MHz clock signal.

In digital audio devices, the clock signal acts as the heart of the product, the higher purity of clock brings more accurate and better sound quality. However, the higher purity of clock also requires the higher cost, therefore, a high-purity 10MHz clock, like a master clock, is not installed inside of the audio device but connected to the internal clock and synchronized by the master clock as the way to improve sound quality.

The sCLK-OCX10 is especially designed product for high end audio equipment which brought all benefits of master clocks that have been used primarily in recording studios and high performance audio audio. It could be an absolute digital device for audiophiles who want the best sound quality. It can be used with the devices equipped with a BNC connector for the master clock input. For SOtM products, 10MHz master clock input connector optionally added products by the sCLK-EX installed devices such as sMS-1000SQ, sMS-200ultra and tX-USBultra can be used with the sCLK-OCX10.

As many of the audiophiles know, the clock signal is an angled square digital signal, but the sCLK-OCX10 produces a pure analog sine wave of 10 MHz, and this sinusoidal clock signal is the method adopted for the best clock product because of the very less noise than the angled square digital clock signal. In order to implement this, the sCLK-OCX10 consists of only analog circuit which contains 10 years of know-how of SOtM, it derives high analog sound that is different from other master clock on the market which output angled square digital clock signal.

The sCLK-OCX10 has four outputs, and it can be used simultaneously with 4 BNC connectors for master clock input device. In the option, the output impedance can be set and selectable to 50 ohms or 75 ohms.

Key features

Normally the clock signal is an angled square digital signal, but the sCLK-OCX10 produces a pure analog sine wave of 10 MHz, and this sinusoidal clock signal is the method applied for the best clock product because of the very less noise than the angled square digital clock signal. In order to implement this, the sCLK-OCX10 consists of only an analog circuit which contains 10 years of know-how from SOtM.

  • 10.000MHz sine wave clock output
  • All Isolated clock output
  • 50Ω(optional75Ω) BNC connector x 4
  • Extremely ultra low phase noise
  • Ultra low regulator circuit
  • Temperature stability: ±2E-9

Performance

Throughout the entire spectrum, the sCLK-OCX10 produces very delicate, smooth and natural sound without losing the inherent energy that every instrument has, especially in the mid-low bandwidths. It brings very clear and significant improvement which normally can be expected by the best analog devices. With the sCLK-OCX10, you can experience not only music played by a system, but the essence and the artistry of the music at heart. And such experiment means the absolute improvement that can be only achieved through the SOtM’s technology rather than tweaking sound with other components.

Pricing and Availability

Pre-orders for the sCLK-OCX10 are taken now and will ship after February 19, 2018.

MSRP: $3,500 USD.

To maximize the sound quality of the sCLK-OCX10, we highly recommend using the sPS-500 as a power supply together and connecting the devices by dCBL-BNC50 or dCBL-BNC75m. These are SOtM’s filtered BNC clock cables. You can select the a length from 1m, 1.5m, and 2m. Impedance could be 50 ohms or 75 ohms.

  • sPS-500: Starts at $500 USD
  • dCBL-BNC50 (1m): $700 USD
  • dCBL-BNC75 (1m): $700 USD

We are also running very special promotional event for the first batch of sCLK-OCX10, and it will be limited to total 100 sets. The first 100 purchasers will receive:

  • A free sPS-500 power supply ($500 value!)
  • Your choice of the dCBL-BNC50 (1M) or dCBL-BNC75 (1M) at a discounted price of $500 USD (Save $200 on a single cable).

The price mentioned above is Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price., not including VAT nor importing Taxes
